We have been sponsors of hundreds of turtle nests in Saona Island! Since the beginning of 2015, Plastifar together with our foundation (Farach Foundation) has made important contributions to Grupo Jaragua and Mr. Pelagio Paulino who is also known as Negro, the father of the turtles. Thanks to these contributions, the project for the Protection and Conservation of Sea Turtles in Mano Juan, Saona Island has acquired a boat which has allowed it to cover a greater number of beaches where dozens of endangered turtles nest. In addition, with these funds Mr. Pelagio Paulino has been able to buy essential equipment for his work, such as: refrigerators to cover turtle nests, GPS to mark the points where the nests have been found and fuel. Currently, we are undertaking the remodeling of Tortuga Saona Island, which requires a better distribution of space and better presentation of information to continue this excellent example of love and dedication to these species that need it so much.
